Programmes Designed for
the Wider School Community

Roots

Roots is a programme designed to support adults and the wider community within primary schools. We run weekly groups offering a range of activities that promote and enhance both mental and physical health and wellbeing.
It’s also an excellent follow-on option for adults who have completed one of our other programmes and wish to maintain their connection with others.

“Rufford Roots is the first time in ages I’ve had space just for me.”

Green Fingers

Similar to the children’s group, Green Fingers supports adults and parents in developing the skills needed to grow and harvest their own food. The programme also emphasises the nutritional benefits of home-grown produce and explores how gardening can be a mindful practice that supports positive mental health.

Everything grown can be enjoyed at home or used in one of our Let’s Cook sessions.

Let's Cook

Let’s Cook offers adults the chance to learn about healthy eating while building confidence in cooking a range of recipes. It also creates a friendly environment where parents and carers can meet and connect with one another.

“I didn’t realise how much I needed this. It’s fun, relaxed, and I’ve met people I never would have spoken to before.”
